Visit Us: Special winter opening – January 2013

Foggy Bottom in February.
A river of snowdrops, created with the large flowered Galanthus S. Arnott, the early NarcissusRijnveld’s Early Sensation and stunning winter stems of Cornus sanguinea Midwinter Fire create a vibrant picture.

The Winter Garden in early March.
The low winter light accentuates the crimson, orange and silver white of winter stemmed dogwoods, Cornus alba Sibirica, Cornus sanguineaMidwinter Fire and Betula utilis var. jacquemontii. Look more closely and you will see carpets of perennials, grasses and heathers.

Foggy Bottom in midwinter.
On a frosty morning, the combination of evergreen conifers, heathers and ornamental grasses form a seamless tapestry of foliage.Visiting the Gardens is for everyone

Alan’s other interest became the charitable trust, Bressingham Steam Museum, so on site both Gardens and Museum are open together, offering a considerable choice for visitors.

We welcome Garden and Horticultural Societies
During 2012 we had many visits from groups of horticultural societies and garden clubs. Below is an excerpt from a letter sent to us by Alvar Johnson of the Groby Gardening Society following their visit in July:
“However, the jewels in your crown must be the gardens. It was unanimously agreed that these were THE best we have visited. Over the years we have been to stately homes, National Trust properties and the flagship gardens of the RHS, but none compare with yours. The weather helped and many thanks for laying on the wall to wall sunshine we enjoyed!”
Why not consider a visit to the Bressingham Gardens with your group in 2013 or 2014?
