Welcome to the Bressingham Gardens

Welcome to the Bressingham Gardens. A paradise for gardeners with two beautiful six acre gardens, created by Alan and Adrian Bloom over many years where new features are still being developed and planned.

The Summer Garden

The Summer Garden at Bressingham with river of Echinacea purpurea Kim’s Knee High.

The Bressingham Gardens is a mecca for serious gardeners with 17 acres of intensely planted gardens containing over (at last count) over 8000 species and cultivars of perennials, grasses, shrubs, trees, conifers, ferns and bulbs.

For the average or would be gardener

The gardens are expansive, colourful throughout the “open” season of the end of March until the end of October. A place to enjoy, dawdle and pick up a few ideas.

For gardening and horticultural societies

Why not plan ahead to include the Bressingham Gardens in one of your future outings? Below is a letter sent to us in July 2012 from Groby Gardening Society following their visit in the summer (printed with their kind permission).

“GROBY GARDENING SOCIETY

The society had such a wonderful day at Bressingham on the 26th July that I felt obliged to record our great appreciation. All the staff we encountered were helpful, cheery and polite. The variety of interests was astounding and more than a few of our elderly party thoroughly enjoyed the Steam Museum.

However, the jewels in your crown must be the gardens. It was unanimously agreed that these were THE best we have visited. Over the years we have been to stately homes, National Trust properties and the flagship gardens of the RHS, but none compare with yours. The weather helped and many thanks for laying on the wall to wall sunshine we enjoyed!

Also, many thanks for your help in the organisation of our visit.

Yours sincerely,

Alvar Johnson (on behalf of Groby Gardening Society)”
